“I have been enjoying Yolanda’s yoga classes for about ten years, and I still find them interesting and  rewarding. First of all, the classes are quite small, so that I always feel I have Yolanda’s personal attention. The classes follow a set format, but the poses and exercises vary from week to week, so that I am always interested. The atmosphere of the class is tranquil and peaceful, even when the poses are quite challenging, and Yolanda ‘s approach is positive and encouraging. In every class she gives us the opportunity to extend ourselves if we wish to. After the class I feel energised and centred, no matter how hectic my day has been. One of the most valuable things I have learned from Yolanda is how to breathe into a pose; and that ability to concentrate on the breath is something that I have found very useful in daily life. I have also attended Yolanda’s meditation classes and found them very beneficial. Her approach is very simple and effective, and demystifies the whole concept of meditation. “Yolanda’s yoga class is the part of my week I’m most committed to.  Running a small business, I have very little routine and not much down time and it’s so reassuring to know that once a week I have a set time to come to Yolanda’s studio, time for me.  The space is so tranquil, just being there is relaxing and nurturing.  Yolanda’s practice is mindful and she offers insightful advice during the class – advice about everything from safe yoga practice, to health remedies, to injury recovery.   I love the spiritual aspects of the class – guided visualisation, progressive muscle relaxation, focussed breathing and chanting.  The class can be as challenging or gentle as you like.  Some weeks I have less energy and use the class as my re-energising and nurturing time, other weeks I feel stronger and use the class to strengthen and challenge my balance, strength and flexibility.  The people in my class are supportive and the energy in the room is warm, engaging and comforting.  I absolutely love it!!”  M.
